Exhibitions

BAC programs a regular schedule of exhibitions throughout the year, including contemporary art works in a diverse range of media, such as painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, video, architecture and design. BAC produces up to five solo and/or collective exhibitions per year.
BAC also offers its venue and services, to other Lebanese and/or regional cultural associations and practioners, creating partnerships that serve to strengthen and develop the existing network for local and regional cultural initiatives.

Screenings
Video screenings include programs organized around specific themes; tributes and restrospectives devoted to individual artists; and series created by guest curators for the center.

Talks & round tables
For its series of talks and round tables, BAC invites local and international artists, critics, historians, curators and writers to speak and share their experiences with their peers and the public at large.

Concerts and Performances
BAC presents performances and concerts by artists whose works are alternative and might not be presented in traditional theaters or concert halls. The program of concerts is curated by musician Sharif Sehnaoui, co-founder of 'Irtijal' International Festival of Experimental Music.

BAC design

BAC design is a programme dedicated to promoting creative products made by local designers. It is a series of exhibitions lasting between two and five weeks displaying products by Lebanese designers on the second floor of Beirut Art Center. Each exhibition showcases works by one designer or a design collective that follows a specific theme, helping them reach a wide clientele for their products, which range from furniture to fashion and jewellery to ceramics. Beirut Art Center hopes to help increase these designers’ exposure to the public, while allowing their work to be viewed in the context of a contemporary art space.

Educational Activities

Guided Tours
BAC organizes customized visits and guided tours of the exhibitions for schools and universities, for the purpose of involving students and/or increasing their knowledge of contemporary art and cultural practice.

Workshops
BAC organizes workshops throughout the year on various subjects related to contemporary art in general and to disciplines such as photography, video, multimedia, art history and art theory in particular.
