Job Opportunity at Beirut Art Center:

Executive Director:

The Executive Director will ensure that the center is managed according to the institution’s mission, objectives and the board's policies. The Executive Director will be the principal administrator of BAC. S/he coordinates publicity; solicits sponsorships and actively pursues funding opportunities; coordinates exhibitions and related activities; carries out day-to-day administrative duties; and manages staff and interns. S/he will work in partnership with the Artistic Directors in order to produce the exhibitions and events of the center.

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    •    Seeking and securing funding through grant applications and seeking sponsorship to support operations, events and programs.
    •    Managing day-to-day operations.
    •    Collecting revenues, paying bills and invoices, and preparing budgets and financial reports.
    •    Ensuring compliance with legal and accounting standards and requirements.
    •    Frequently reporting to the Executive Board on issues concerning the finance and the running of the center.
    •    Implement and manage events, programs and activities

Qualifications:
Skills related to management, public relations, fundraising, communication and organization disciplines are essential components of this position.

Preferable:
Demonstrated experience in arts management and/or non-profit management positions is preferable but not essential.
 
The position is full-time (40 hours per week).
Some evening and weekend work will be required.

Interviews will be conducted in late October and the Executive Director should be ready to start in January.
